Hive Swimwear is the most exciting new sports fashion line in women's surf swimwear. Hive Swimwear won the 2007 Small Business Champions Award in Fashion in Queensland. The range is suitable for the energetic, active girl who enjoys living life to the extreme and yet embraces the latest fashion looks. Women no longer have to compromise with fashion to get function. Hive is truly "funkshional" swimwear.

Hive Swimwear is based in Noosa Heads and all styles are tested under duress for durability and function over a range of sports including surfing, triathlon, swimming, kiteboarding, surf life saving and also by members of the Australian Olympic aerial ski team. Olympic gold medallist Emma Snowsill swims and runs in it, WCT surfer Serena Brooke surfs in it and World Champion aerialist Jacqui Cooper jumps in it.

Essentially the swimwear tops comprise of straps that go over the shoulders and cross over on the back such that neck posture and fit is optimal. The shoulder straps are also adjustable to provide a comfortable and secure fit. The company director has extensive input from an Olympic physiotherapist ; she is married to one! The design reduces neck strain as most bikinis tie up around the neck.

The tops are made to fit firmly to prevent movement and are manufactured using the newest and highest grade lycras and elastics. Even the "D" cup is covered. The tops are complemented by a variety of bottoms including hipsters, string sides and boy legs. Hive also makes a one piece. The range is versatile and suits many different sizes and body shapes. The fashion component of the swimwear is maintained as Hive designs and prints the fabric exclusively to ensure the prints are individual and unique. The prints feature fun, bright colours that suit our beach lifestyle.

Hive Swimwear is the inspiration of local Noosa Heads (Australia) girl and avid surfer Katrina (Kat) Hogg. With a wealth of experience in the surf industry, Kat's background is broad and includes modelling, surf coaching, surf school and surf travel company management, surf retail assistant and all round active sports woman.

Living in health and fitness focused Noosa, Kat became aware of a need in the market for functional yet fashionable swimwear. She wanted to design a range of functional swimwear that could perform in the water yet had a fashion look. So with some good patterns and some quality fabrics, Hive Swimwear was born.
